In view of extending subjects in Mradakan Arboretum now there are the below structural divisions: introduction laboratory dealing with decorative arboreous, flower and herbaceous plants for growing trees and gardens  of resorts on Absheron; volatile-oil-bearing  plants laboratory dealing with introduction and discovery of valuable volatile-oil-bearing plants from the local flora; technological laboratory, at which there is studied chemical content and worked out methods of obtaining  volatile oils, tanning extracts, medicinal matters and spices from different plants, laboratory of plants anatomy and morphology; genetics and selection laboratory. At the Arboretum there is Botanical Museum under establishing.
From 1970 there has been conducted planned improvement of the Arboretum territory, erected minor architectural forms, built pools, hothouses, hotbeds.
Lately throught 1996-1999 at Maradakan Arboretum there had been conducted fundamental restoration activities under supervision of relevant director Tofig Mammadov.There were erected new buildings and reconstructed old ones. There was renewed numerous park of different plants. The Arboretum disposes the below object and parks:
- Conference-hall fir holding different scientific seminars snd conferences  intended for 200 men;
- 4-star hotel (20 room of “ snite  ” type 1 and 2 place);
- rooms for visitors;
- buildings made according to “ Gotics” Frech project;
- different scientific laboratories;
- man-made falls;
- unique deep water well;
- small parks for rest of the visitors.
