Mammadov
Tofiq,
son of Sadıq was born in the tenth of
februrary, 1957, in Nakhchevan AR, Ordubad
district, Dirnis village.
In 1964-1974
years he studed in
Ordubad district, Dirnis village secondary
school. In 1982 he graduated University of
Construction Engineer with the diploma of
builder engineer.
In 1982-1986 he worked in different
organizations as electrician, master, work
executor, section chief, head engineer, the
chief of building office. In 1974-1976 he
served in the armed forces.Activities:
In 1986-1996 years he was head engineer,
assistant director in Mardakan dendrary,
NAS of Azerbaijan, since 1996 he is director
of the institution.In
2000 he obtained
biology
candidate of science and academic degree
maintaining on the subject “Bioecological
features of valuable trees and bushes in
Mardakan dendrary and their importance in
greenering Apsheron”.
Since that years he is the leader of the
laboratory “Introduction of plants” on a
social basis. In 2002 in International
Information Academy on the subject “Trees
and bushes introducted in Azerbaijan from
world flora” on Botany and Ecology Sciences
international doctor of phylosphy.
In 2004 on the subject “Scientific basis
of bioecological features, agrotechnics
productive using in National economy of
long-term trees and bushes in greenering of
Apsheron” maintained thesis for a doctor's
degree on Biology and Ecology Sciences.Since
2005 he is a professor.In 2006 he was
elected corresponding member of AMEA.Mammadov
Tofiq,
son of Sadıq is also prominent
representatives of Azerbaijan science. He is
the author of 18 books (“Ecology”,
“Ecological games”, “Floricultural
encyclopaedia”, “Encyclopaedia of indoor
plants”, “Greenering in Apsheron according
ecological factors” and etc.), about 170
scientific articles.He
has patent.
In 2004 he was awarded to the name “man of
the year” in ecological sphere, by
Biographical Institute of USA.
Tofiq Mammadov made a valuable gift of
development science of Biology in
Azerbaijan, educational supplies of ecology,
in the direction of establishing greenering
in our Republis by modern scientific basis.By
T.S.Mammadov in Mardakan dendrary from
different countries of the world plant
collections were gathered, their
introduction, durability to the ecological
factors, ether fatness were founded, using
east and west ornamented architectural
specimen was reflected in the investigation
work,
field of greenering
parks and gardens, ornamenting ofis
interyers. According sistematic relationship
principles
investigated kinds
was grouped
in fields, objective laws of placing in
parks and gardens was worked out.Tofiq
with his scientific investigations is well
known not only in our Republic, but also in
foreign countries. T.Mammadov, whose 37
scientific articles were published abroad
(journals: “Botany” of American Botanical
Society”, “BG Journal”, “Roots” of The World
Botanical Gardens, “Experimental Botany” of
Oxford University, “Hortus Botany” and etc.)
attracted attention of foreign countries’
scientists soon, invited to the
authoritative international forums and also
is the member of international scientific
organizations, including expert comission of
the journal “Poleo Botany” in Bulgarian,
the member of Academic Council of The
Botanical Gardens by MDB.He
took part in 27 İnternational Conferences:
including in Colifornia State University,
in USA (“Botany” 2006 İnternational Congress
USA, 28. 07-02. 08. 2006), in England (BGCİ
6-th International Congress on Education in
Botanical Gardens, The University of Oxford
in Botanic Garden, UK 10th -14th September,
2006), in Austria (XVІІ
İnternational Botanical Congress, Vienna,
Austria, Europe 17-23 July 2005.), in Turkey
(İnternational Conference, 12-15 aprel,
2002, NEU NİCOSİA-Norfherm Cuprus and etc.),
in Tailand (İnternational Congress,
IW+SDC’07, Bankoq-Patay, 4-12 mart, 2006),
in Chinese (3-rd Global Botanical Gardens,
april, 16-20, Wuhan, China) and the
conferences taking place in France, Spain,
İtalia, İran, Russia, Ukrain, Georgia,
Belarus and other countries.
T.S.Mammadov is also resourceful
organizer. İn his leadership time in
Dendrary was caried on construction work,
new laboratories were opened, high-level
conference hall - drawing-room was created.
At present under the direct of T.S.Mammadov
in Dendrary in our Republic wide
investigation work carried on in
restoration genepool of natural and
cultural flora, in productive using plant
reserves, in the direction of adaptedion and
introduction as well.
The latest years T.S.Mammadov in the fields
of collection of Dendrary was created
expositions: “Dendrary” (700 sorts),
“Cultural plants” (600 sorts), “Ornamental
plants” (more than 480 sorts), “Fund
hothouse” (about 270 sorts), raised Dendrary
to the level of world standards.
In 2005 T.S.Mammadov himself played great
role electing Mardakan Dendrary the member
of The World Botanical Gardens. In 2006 for
the first time in our Republic he was the
organizer and executor of the International
Conference on the subject “The role of The
Botanical Gardens in protection of
environment” helding on the occasion of 80
years of Mardakan Dendrary.
He was honoured withn honorary rescript and
money award of “Flower festivity” of
Execution Authority of city Baku many
times.
His organization and scientific success was
estimated by presidium of ANAS, 3 times was
rewarded with honorary rescript.He is
married, has got 2 children.
